Cogeco Webmail filters

I've reduced inbound mail (to my Cogeco account) to almost zero. I still get regular spam from a couple of people with compromised accounts (non-Cogeco). I set up filters to discard their messages, so I assume any new inbound mail will be compared with the filters. But I see no way of running the filter against the current mailbox. There is no obvious way to do this. Any ideas? Thanks.

Tubi on TiVo Mini?

I see there's a new app, only on my main TiVo box, called Tubi, which has a fair amount of content, admittedly mostly B material. Does anyone see this on their TiVo Mini? Our main TV uses the Mini and it would be nice to have access to Tubi, there.

Hello, After the outage on January 3rd in East Windsor, I am noticing that my modem is only showing 3 out of 4 downstream Power levels? Did Cogeco do something to the network to run only 3 channels? Thanks!

Bridging DPC3848VM

I have read through the numerous posts on this topic, and appreciate all the information. I do though have a simple question. Is there any Cogeco user ID and password that will be required to connect to Cogeco from the router, or is the authentication done at the cogeco end using the modem’s MAC address? Or to put it another way, if I put the modem into bridge mode, reboot, and plug in my router, the router will automatically DHCP from the modem and I can proceed to configure the router. Correct? And my standalone TiVo (no minis) will continue to function? It seems like it should, as it doesn’t have a wifi connection as far as I know? I’m a bit fuzzy on this one as I haven’t waded through all the TiVo settings, but I didn’t see the install tech setting anything like that up. Thanks in advance from a long time lurker.

Crave TV

So today I learned that if I want to keep the TMN channels I've had for years, it'll cost me and additional $3. Because Crave has change their tiers Cogeco has cut off my access to TMN encore. No notice of course. How about some kind of loyalty discount? Not likely. First I lose TSN GO and now this. This month is really testing my loyalty to Cogeco!

Upgrade to 360 Internet

The 360 Mbps is now available in my area, I'm thinking about upgrading. I see that it comes with up to 2 wifi access points. Anyone know if Cogeco makes you have a service call to upgrade? I really don't relish the the thought of them mucking around with my network setup.

Historic Package Pricing

Hey All, Completely random question here. I'm trying to find archived information on what the packages were that Cogeco was offering back in 2002 or 2003. Basically what the advertised speeds that they were offering at the time and what the price was, modem rental fee (if applicable), etc. I tried checking archive.org but due to Cogeco's extensive use of flash and server side scripting on their website at the time, their website isn't archived for the most part.

[TV] Pace Cable Boxes

I have 2 Pace DC550D cable boxes. Recently, one of them went wonky and a few days later the other one did the same. Basically both units were showing mostly One Moment Please messages for pretty much most channels which would never change. The first unit has righted itself but the second one only gets about 5 usable channels and about 5 channels with pixelization. The rest of the channels can't be seen. I have a huge cable channel package which means I am paying a pretty big buck to Cogeco but not getting timely help. Have unplugged both units multiple times and Cogeco has tried to reset them twice. Neither worked as it was days later the first unit came back on its own. When I unplugged the unit that is still out it wouldn't connect with Cogeco and the time and guide went unchanged for days. Now it has caught up but hasn't rectified the channel situation. Antone have a solution for these boxes or is it time to try Start.ca? I seem to have to get a box reset many times per year.

[TV] Standard TV PVR No Longer Available?

My elderly father is a bit distraught because he said that Cogeco is not going to be providing TV service anymore and what is he going to do? I said I didn't think that would be the case but he insists he had an email about Cogeco withdrawing TV. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the standard PVR as I cannot see it available on Cogeco's site. Can someone here confirm please? It looks like only TIVO PVR is available now.

unable to watch videos at home only

I use one of those sites where you get paid to watch video clips. One section works fine where it is just simple videos. The other section has a video that has pop up ads. That video section simply won't load. I can watch the video clips if I am on an open network, such as at a hotel at work, or a restaurant, so I know it is not my computer blocking access, any antivirus blocking the site or an issue with popups. I have even tried connecting through a VPN to see if it was a problem with my IP address. I have an arris cable modem. I went in to have a look at the router settings, but I'm not that tech savvy when it comes to networking stuff. Since it works on an open wifi, then it must be something in the settings at home having to do with my router. Does any one have any idea? Thanks.

[PHONE] Cogeco lines have no battery backup???

Every time we get a power outage in Welland, our service dies 3 minutes later. I spent money on a good UPS to keep my cable modem, router and POE supplies to my phones up and all that is useless because the service dies in 3 minutes. Do the trunk power supplies on poles no longer have working batteries? Does the neighbourhood headend not have any backup? Should this not be a priority for Cogeco as it removes access to 911 services from the VoIP phones?

So I was on the phone with Cogeco looking about upgrading speeds and they told me 120/20 is the fastest available in St. Catharines. They had no eta on when or if anything faster will be available. Does anybody have higher speeds on Cogeco in the area or know if they are rolling out faster service soon? Does anybody else offer faster speeds in St Catharines for residential?

[INTERNET] Watered Down Gig Packages - What gives Cogeco?

https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/cogeco-connexion-enhances-its-gigabit-offering-in-ontario-markets-692173431.html I was excited to see that Cogeco put out a press release that they had the capability to offer Gigabit services in Burlington. I checked out the website and the service is now listed as 1Gbit/s down and only 30Mbit/s up. What gives Cogeco? Previously the Gigabit service was advertised as 1Gig up and down. This new offer, for the same price, is really only an incremental upgrade from any other DSL/Cable package out there. With literally everything moving to the cloud having a faster upload speed is a must for most households. I work from home and my company does everything in the cloud so a 1Gig connection would have been amazing. Hopefully someone from Cogeco reads this and can offer some information around the decision and if there will be a full 1Gig up/down package in the future.

Hi, I'm looking for information on cogeco's docsis 3.1 service. we have their technicolor DPC3848VM and it sucks. constant WiFi dropouts specifically. we've had 5 of these and still having problems. but the tech told me that docsis 3.1 was coming in march! so does anyone have it, is it good, what kind of modem is it, do they charge a tech visit or can they mail it to you, do you need to subscribe to a package higher than 120mbps?, thanks.
